Stop At: Schloss Glanegg, Schloß Glanegg 1, 5082, Austria
Start of the tour is on the German side in Freilassing on the forecourt of Rupertuskirche. From there it is not far to the border to Austria, which we pass through the dam Rott. Through the district of Salzburg Liefering we drive to the end of the Glan, which flows there in the Salzach. Mainly along the Glan it goes through different parts of Salzburg to the southern city limits to Fürstenbrunn, in whose wider surroundings the sources of the Glan lie.
At the manor of the castle Glanegg offers after about 18km drive a break. Here is a beautiful view of the "local mountain" of Salzburg, the Untersberg. Strengthened it goes on to Grödig to turn just before Grödig to the northeast, the second waters of the tour, the Almkanal.

Along this route, the route leads us northwards towards Hohensalzburg Fortress, past the surf wave on the Almkanal and on to Leopoldskroner Weiher near the fortress mountain. Through the Salzburg district Nonntal it goes past the St. Erhard church towards the old town.
Stop At: Salzburger Altstadt, Altstadt, Salzburg Austria
Here is an opportunity to make a detour to the center of the old town. After consultation, a longer break can be made at the free disposal of the participants.

Further, the route takes us along the Salzach, from there through the districts Aigen, Parsch and Gnigl at the foot of the Gaisberg to the Alterbach, the third creek of the Runde. At this we drive along until it flows into the Salzach. Here the circle closes, the mouth of the Alterbach is right near the mouth of the Glan. In the direction of the state border, we drive past the Salzburger Salzachsen to the Saalach, to return to Freilassing via the Rott dam power station.
